The goal is to share examples and learn different approaches to the Garden Therapy, which we would like to establish as an actual profession with university accreditation (it doesn't exist here yet). But that's a long-term goal. At first we would like to continue in learning from the others. The project should be focused on possibilities of using the Garden Therapy to help and re-integrate three main user groups: refugees, minorities and socially excluded individuals (long-term unemployed, disabled people …)
Activities will be Short-term join staff training events. We would like to visit partner organizations and compare the systems of working with target groups in the nature/gardens and share examples of good practice.
Topics of interest:
• Therapy through nature
• Garden therapy
• Urban gardening and farming
• Community gardens
• Social entrepreneurship
• Rapprochement with the community
• Exploring local specifics
• Opportunities on labour market
The output of the project will be summary of experience, networking of possible educators and identification of areas of joint education that will be beneficial to target groups.
In future projects we would like to find complement education in areas suitable for all member states of the EU and we will set additional education of employees in the field of garden therapy with emphasis on needs of target groups.
